What is in the bundle

One CSV per record type, named for what it holds, with a README at the top of the ZIP listing the files and the date it was generated.

Every row carries its own id, and every relationship is written as both the id and the name it displays under — clientId beside clientName. Line items sit in their own files keyed back to the estimate, invoice or purchase order they belong to, so the relationships survive the trip into a spreadsheet. Timestamps are ISO 8601 in UTC.

  • leads.csv, clients.csv, vendors.csv, crew.csv
  • projects.csv, tasks.csv
  • estimates.csv, invoices.csv, change-orders.csv
  • purchase-orders.csv, bills.csv
  • estimate-items.csv, invoice-items.csv, purchase-order-items.csv, payments.csv
  • summary.csv

The project compliance pack

Alongside the full export there is a per-project bundle aimed at the paperwork a specific job has to produce: holdback entries, compliance milestones, a list of the documents attached to that project with links to them, and the vendors and clearance records connected to it.

That is the one to run when somebody asks for the file on a particular build, rather than exporting the entire business and cutting it down afterwards.

Why it is gated to financial roles

The bundle contains invoices, bills, purchase orders and margins — the whole commercial picture of the business. So it is restricted to financial roles rather than available to everyone with a login.

A crew member does not need the company's receivables to do their job, and a document that leaves with a departing employee is harder to think about than one that could not be generated in the first place.

Re-import covers contacts, not the whole workspace

Clients and leads can be imported from a CSV, including the ones this export produces. Projects, estimates, invoices and their line items cannot, so the ZIP is not a backup you could restore from — treat it as a record and an escape hatch.

What it genuinely does is remove the question of whether you can leave. Your job history, your client list and your numbers come out in a format any spreadsheet or accountant can open, on demand, at no cost — which is the only meaningful version of no lock-in.

Questions

What is included in the export?
Sixteen CSV files: leads, clients, projects, tasks, estimates, invoices, payments, change orders, purchase orders, bills, vendors, crew and a summary, plus separate files for estimate, invoice and purchase-order line items, and a README listing the contents and generation date. Attached files and photos are listed with their links rather than copied into the bundle.
Does it cost anything?
No. Export is on every plan with no fee and no request process. You run it yourself from the dashboard.
Can I import the CSVs back in?
clients.csv and leads.csv can be imported. The rest cannot, so the export is a record and a way out rather than a restorable backup.
Who is allowed to export?
Financial roles. The bundle carries invoices, bills, purchase orders and margin, so it is not available to every role with a login.
Can I export one project instead of everything?
Yes. The project compliance pack covers a single job — its holdback entries, compliance milestones, the vendors and clearance records tied to it, and a list of its documents with links. The document files themselves are downloaded separately.
